RSE Academy respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect through rseacademy.ca, demo enquiries, online classes and the student practice portal, how we use it, and the choices available to you.
Information we collect
Depending on how you use RSE Academy, we may collect:
- Contact and enquiry details: your name, email address, phone number, preferred demo time, CELPIP goal and any message you submit.
- Enrolment and account details: information needed to arrange classes, create a student account and communicate about your course.
- Practice information: portal answers, scores, attempt history, instructor feedback and Speaking recordings submitted through the enrolled-student portal.
- Technical information: IP address, browser/device information, security logs, cookies and similar data generated when the website is used.
Free diagnostic and device storage
The public diagnostic saves progress in your browser’s local storage so you can resume on the same device. Public diagnostic Speaking recordings remain in your browser and are not uploaded to RSE Academy. You can clear saved diagnostic progress by restarting the diagnostic or clearing your browser data.
How we use information
- Respond to enquiries and arrange a free demo.
- Provide private or small-group CELPIP coaching and student portal access.
- Review practice work and provide instructor feedback.
- Send service-related messages about schedules, access and class administration.
- Protect accounts, prevent misuse, troubleshoot problems and improve the website and learning experience.
- Meet legal, accounting or safety obligations where applicable.
Service providers and sharing
RSE Academy does not sell or rent personal information. We may use carefully selected providers for website hosting, forms, email delivery, security, analytics or other operations. These providers receive only the information reasonably needed to perform their services. We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect users or the service, or in connection with a legitimate business transfer.
International processing
Because RSE Academy provides online services and uses third-party technology, information may be processed or stored outside your province or country. Privacy protections in another jurisdiction may differ from those where you live.
Retention
We keep personal information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose collected, including providing classes, maintaining relevant student records, resolving disputes, security and legal or accounting requirements. Portal recordings and attempts may be deleted when access ends or when they are no longer needed.
Security
We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards. No website, email or online storage system can be guaranteed completely secure, so please use a strong password and do not share your student login.
Your choices and privacy requests
You may ask to access, correct or delete personal information held by RSE Academy, or withdraw consent where applicable. Some information may need to be retained for legal, security or transaction records. You can also decline optional marketing communication at any time.
Children’s privacy
The website and portal are intended for CELPIP learners and are not directed to children under 13. Learners under 18 should involve a parent or guardian before purchasing classes or creating portal access.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the service or legal requirements change. The current version and update date will remain posted on this page.
